Urns.Griffins, Cast Iron, sgd SOLD

A rare Pair of Cast Iron Garden Urns with full bodied Griffins, made in Brooklyn NY by & signed by the Hecla Iron Works Co. Another cast iron urn by this company is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. They worked from 1876 -1908. The Hecla Factory is at the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn NY & still stands today & is being considered for landmark status

Other than being repainted they are original
