American Classical Or Empire Recamier

American classical Recamier from Philadelphia circa 1825, some very high style furniture was made in Philadelphia by cabinetmakers like Quervelle. The rear foot is never carved on Philadelphia Empire sofas as it is not carved on this one either. The fabric though appropriate is stained in several places. the Recamier has been cleaned and French polished & the condition is excellent. (Item number: 36)
