Cast Iron Chair Coalbrookdale with Dog Heads

A late 19th century cast iron and wood seat garden chair by Coalbrookdale The garden chair maintains an old worn painted finish on the cast iron a dark blue/black color. The motif of the desirable chair are the arms that terminate in dog heads, and the bench is raised on dog paw feet, also it is decorated with intertwined snakes behind the paw feet. This is a motif seen in Coalbrookdale benches and chairs. The wooden slats have evidence of being filled with moss. This is an extremely heavy and important garden chair. (Item number: 2846)
