Chairs, Timmes Cast Iron SOLD

A pair of American cast iron 19th century chairs. These chairs were made in Brooklyn NY and are patent dated 1895. They were made by Peter Timmes and his name is clearly seen on the lower front of the back. These chairs are the best example of the Victorian curtain pattern. Currently in our large inventory of this pattern are other chairs and several benches. Cast Iron Benches and chairs by Peter Timmes can be seen in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, & the Brooklyn Museum of Art
