Timmes Brooklyn Garden Benches Cast Iron SOLD

A fancy cast iron garden bench made in Brooklyn New York and patent dated 1895 by Peter Timmes Son. This filigree
patterned bench is the most elaborate of a school of benches made in New York City in the late 19thC and commonly referred to as the curtain pattern. There are examples of this bench in both the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
