Belter Victorian Banquet/Dining Table

This is a one of a kind Dining or Banquet table by premier New York
Cabinetmaker, John Henry Belter. There is a room at the Metropolitan Museum of Art devoted just to his furniture. Belter is known for his parlor furniture, and his bedroom pieces are scarce, but in 40 years of collecting and dealing in Belter Furniture, this is the first dining table by Belter to appear in the market.
The table exhibits the sausage shaped turned legs that he is known for, along with the Dolphins which appear on many of his center tables and chairs.
The table has 3 original leaves that extend it to ten feet, but without any leaves the table is 46 X 48 and raised on its original brass castors. The table's Tiffany
Provenance will be shared upon purchase (Item number: 1269)
