When John Salterini suddenly died in 1953 there was a panic amongst the workers of his company. Mr Cooperman of Brooklyn was foreman of the Brooklyn NY factory that made Salterini furniture. He along with other workers, took pieces of furniture home.
Mr Cooperman took home the tea cart that Mr Salterini’s hot lunch was wheeled in on everyday. Mr Cooperman also took home an experimental piece which was a tall bakers rack or what not. It was mainly made of the wrought iron mesh with two pieces of marble in the center. This cabinet-bakers rack was sitting in the Long Island dining room of Mr Cooperman's widow.
